United Airlines Offers Free Flights to Aurora Shooting Families

United Airlines is offering free flights to the families of the Aurora Shooting in Colorado so they can travel to be with loved ones and attend funerals.


United Airlines gave only a brief statement on the gesture:
“All of us were impacted by these events, and we want to help in any way we can.”
‘The airline helped the family of Andrew Sullivan in a big way: They offered to fly 25 family members from he Rochester, N.Y., area to Denver to attend Andrew’s funeral this week. Andrew Sullivan died in the shooting at the Aurora movie theater on his 27th birthday.
A family member told ABC News affiliate WHAM once the family found out Andrew had been killed, they started making plans for some of the family to fly to Colorado right away. When the United Airlines ticket agent found out why they were going, the airline offered to help.’
James Holmes, 24, is suspected of killing 12 and injuring 58 others during a shooting rampage at a screening of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in the Colorado cinema.
