There are many possible contenders for the worst airline livery including such favourites as the new United merger livery and Dubrovnik Airlines. Here is a new contender, Cirrus Airlines of Germany. It operates several short-haul domestic and international routes for Lufthansa and Swiss International using a fleet of Dornier 328s and a Embraer 170. Its livery is one of the most boring liveries possible, bare white fuselage with no lettering and only the Cirrus logo on the tail. It’s not even a transition livery it’s permanent. Perhaps its a good thing in today’s colourful world of liveries, a little bit of simplicity. Even some lettering on the fuselage would help, surely Cirrus could do a bit better than this.
UPDATE: As of Friday 20th January, Cirrus Airlines has ceased all flights until the end of the month and will reportedly file for bankruptcy according toairliners.de. Cirrus had been in talks with investors and Swiss airline Skywork was reported to be leading last minute merger talks with no success
