US Airways CEO Doug Parker said that if a merger took place between bankrupt American Airlines and US Airways the combined carrier would be based in Ft. Worth, Texas and would be called American Airlines, according to reports.American Airlines (AA) is already based in Ft. Worth with US Airways (UA) presently being based in Tempe, Arizona.
