UPDATE – June 2, 2012 – 7:47 PM:
Reuters is reporting that the crash occurred after the 727 landed. This is contrary to initial reports that the aircraft crashed as it was attempting to take off.

Nigerian Cargo Plane Runs in to Street Slamming in to Cars and a Bus
An Allied Air Cargo Plane overran the runway while attempting to take off from Ghana’s Kotoka International Airport Saturday night and slammed in to a bus and several cars, killing at least 10 people, according to local reports on the scene.
According to witnesses, the aircraft slammed through a fence that surrounds the airport and in to a street where it struck the vehicles.
Local television in Ghana reportedly has shown the plane with a damaged tail section lying across the road.
The aircraft is a Boeing 727-200.
Police and emergency crews have blocked off the area as the rescue proceeds.
